A time to pause, nourish, and connect with yourself under the lunar theme of rebirth. This monthly offering holds the intention of providing that pause for you to receive - coming back to a moment of stillness before our cyclical energy builds again towards the full moon. Every time the moon wanes back to darkness, it reminds us that we also have a chance to reset and start over; to take a pause, release, relax, and return to a creative space of pure potential.

A liminal space is the time between the 'what was' and the 'next.' It is a place of transition, waiting, and not knowing. Liminal space is where all transformation takes place, if we learn to wait and let it form us. -Author and theologian Richard Rohr

Join us on the weekend of the first new moon of 2019, as we rest in the liminal space that exists just after the new year; not quite in the past, not quite in the future. 

During the first week of the new year, there’s a little in-between moment that we don’t always take the time to observe – like the turning of the breath at the bottom of the exhale – a space to pause and be present. New Year can be a time of setting ourselves too many resolutions and too many expectations, too fast. At the time of the new moon we should, by nature, take rest and withdraw; nourish our bodies and prepare for uprising energy of the full moon. 

Through gentle yoga practices incorporating movement, voice, deep rest, and the deeply healing benefit of crystal bowl sonic vibrations, we invite you to rest here - in this liminal space - on the dark moon. Resist the urge to set goals and instead focus on releasing that which no longer serves; find yourself fully in the present to be able to make heartfelt intentions for the year ahead. We’ll finish the session together with some light snacks and warming teas, before you head back out into the world, and into the new year.

Please note that regrettably this workshop is not suitable for women in their first 12 weeks of pregnancy. 

For this Yoga + Sound event, Brighitta will be working with her dear friend Claire Horton. A yoga practitioner of 15 years, Claire initially trained in Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga, continuing to study further with Ryan Spielman and David Swenson. As her practice evolved, Claire developed an interest in yoga for women's wellbeing, and she furthered her studies with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli (Author of Yoni Shakti) in Womb Yoga and Well Woman Yoga Therapy. The ancient scriptures and Vedic texts have always held a special significance and source of inspiration to Claire, who travels regularly to South East Asia to immerse herself in history, storytelling, myth and ritual.

Reiki + Sound Healing
A Two-hour Transformational Workshop

This intimate gathering will be a sweetly soulful remembrance, an invitation for you to come home to yourself. 

In a fully immersive ceremony, Jasmin and Brighitta will weave together an offering of energy healing, pure crystalline sounds, guided meditations, vocals and chanting to create a space of devotion, honouring the spirit within. This workshop will be held with the intention of deep healing - relaxing the body and purifying the mind so we can blend more fluidly with our souls. 

Beginning with seated breath-work led by Jasmin (of Emerald + Tiger) we will open the heart and settle into the space. We will then move to a deeply relaxing experience with an alchemy crystal sound bath, while Brighitta (of Awakening Light) leads a gentle guided meditation and Jasmin guides soft chants. Our voice is our soul's pure vibration and we welcome that into the space. As we weave Reiki into the evening, we will be sharing the energy with each person one-to-one to enhance the feeling of harmony, leading to a soul-stirring experience of expansion. This is where transformation can take place. After we will share affirmations, and set intentions for our work beyond this time. There will be an opportunity to journal, chat, and share tea at the end of this magical evening.

Vibrational Alchemy is a collaborative healing experience, co-hosted by Brighitta and Jasmin Harsono of Emerald x Tiger. Jasmin + Brighitta are both Reiki Master/Teachers, with a multi-faceted offering focused on holistic well-being for the body, mind, and soul.
